Animated Lounge Screen
This animated lounge screen is a draft, created in Adobe After Effects. The design is based on the previous version, which was a static image in Adobe Illustrator. Following an online course, I imported the vector file into After Effects and animated a few of the elements to showcase how much visual interest it would add if the lounge screen were not static. The lounge screen was always shown to Virtual Classroom participants for ten minutes before the live stream started. Another advantage of the animated version would be that the viewers can see at first glance whether the video playback on their end works properly. Music could be added to give viewers the opportunity to test their audio settings before the Virtual Classroom starts.
I have also added a text box in an alternative version so that an icebreaker question could be displayed as soon as the chat box is open to the audience.
